Terms of Use

These terms cover your use of Teleprompter: Video & Captions and of this website. Using either means you accept them.

Licence

You get a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the app on Apple devices you own or control, as the App Store Terms of Service allow. You may not copy, reverse-engineer, redistribute or resell the app, except where the law lets you regardless of this paragraph.

Subscriptions and billing

  • The app is free to download. Some installs can try every tool on one sample project, with its script limited to 100 words; others are asked to subscribe before they start. A subscription, Teleprompter Pro, unlocks your own projects and scripts of any length.
  • Subscriptions are sold and billed by Apple through your Apple Account. The price for your region is shown in the App Store and in the app before you buy.
  • Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period unless cancelled at least 24 hours before it ends. Your account is charged for the renewal within the 24 hours before the period ends.
  • Manage or cancel a subscription in the Settings app: tap your name, then Subscriptions. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.
  • Refunds are handled by Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com. We cannot issue refunds, because the payment never reaches us directly.
  • If a free trial is offered, any unused part of it ends when you buy a subscription.

Your content

The scripts you write and the videos you record are yours. We claim no ownership of them and no licence to use them. They are stored on your device; the privacy policy explains what leaves it.

You are responsible for what you write and record, including having the rights to anything you import into a script.

Acceptable use

Do not use the app to break the law, to infringe someone else’s rights, to record anyone without the consent their jurisdiction requires, or to make material that is unlawful where you are.

Availability and changes

Features may change, and features may be removed. We will not knowingly remove a feature that is the main reason for an active subscription without saying so in the release notes.

The app depends on what iOS provides – speech recognition, the camera, the Photos library – and on services run by others. Those can change or stop working in ways we do not control.

Warranty and liability

The app is provided as is. To the extent the law allows, we disclaim implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including lost recordings or lost time.

Nothing here limits a liability that cannot be limited by law, or the consumer rights you have where you live.

Apple

These terms are between you and Nawal Amallou, the seller of the app on the App Store, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for the app or its content and has no obligation to support it. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them.
